I will write my last blog in English, just because I can.
This is the first blog I write from our new couch in Holland. I’m home again! My study abroad has come to an end. It was amazing, it surpassed all my expectations! There are no words to describe it. I’ve met lovely people, visited beautiful places, had crazy parties and done amazing things. I fell in love with Spain and will definitely come back for more than a holiday. In January, when I traded Holland in for Castellón de la Plana for almost half a year, I didn’t expect too much of it. But slowly Castellón became my second home, the city, the beach, Parque Ribalta, the palm trees, the restaurants, the shops and even UJI, I’m going to miss it all! I lost a piece of my heart in Castellón. The hardest thing of the whole Erasmus adventure was saying goodbye..
What I will miss the most are the lovely people I met. Especially the Monkeys of course! I miss every single one of you so much already! But we will meet again at the reunion! I’ve had an amazing last month, full of beach, sun, alcohol, party’s and craziness. I enjoyed it until the last minute.
And I would almost forget the most important thing, the main reason why I came to Spain: I passed all my subjects! So my study abroad has been a success in every way.
Being home again is nice, but it would be better if the weather in Holland would change a bit and it would become summer here too.. It feels normal, like I never left. I can’t wait for all the hot summer days, festivals, party’s and bbq’s to come! And…. I want to go on a holiday for a week or so, maybe to Spain? I have a lot of new holiday destinations, if I had the money I would visit everyone. Let’s stay in Europe for now. And maybe next year back to Castellón for Fiestas de la Magdalena? But first I’m going to enjoy summer in Holland!
